Iaroslav Iatsenko is a Chief actuary of the non-life department of Risk Institute.  As the Principal in actuarial services, he is responsible for main results and development of non-life insurance sector of Risk Institute. Mr. Iatsenko highly values long-term clients relationship, therefore apart from providing project-based consulting work, he performs as a trusted advisor informing on industry trends and regulatory issues.

Mr. Iatsenko actuarial career spans for over 9 years, with roles that include financial planning and controlling, risk management, life and non-life reserves calculations.

Among his recent projects, he performed and certified calculation of basic premium for Ukrainian MTPL market, which includes analysis of 6 mln records of policyholders annually.

Prior to Risk Institute, Mr. Iatsenko had a successful career in Allianz Ukraine. That includes risk-management internship in Germany, Solvency II education with Allianz Group Centre of competences, stochastic reserving reviews, development of the financial model with B&S, P&L, CF, capital projections. 

With his expertise, he supported Ukrainian financial regulator in risk-management education for insurance companies by holding 7 seminars.

Mr. Iatsenko has lifelong right to certify actuarial calculations in Ukraine. He also took part in implementing requirements for risk-management for 20+ companies and developed risk assessment model for local risk-management requirements.

Mr. Iatenko holds master degree in statistics in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In addition to the Ukrainian education, he has passed or exempted from CT1-CT-9 actuarial exams of British Institute of Actuaries. He was also a coordinator of volunteer program “Kind Kiever”,  which had helped 5000+ internally displaced persons.
